Mandy was right.

So upon picking up my text books for this quarter Mandy noticed that I was to read Orientalism by Edward Said. She told me I was not really going to like it. Ya' know what? She was right. While Said has some very good points, over all he is long winded and written for a scholarly crowd. This makes his book all but inaccessible to all but the most learned people. I just finished a four page paper on the fist two chapters, of which I only read one, as well as the introduction and forward, most of which I read. The book is very dense and full of jargon that makes it very difficult to read.

Yep I think that is it for now....

Oh wait, how the fuck could I have forgotten?! I'm seeing Sunn 0))) three times this weekend. Once in Olympia, once is Seattle, and once in Portland. For those of you that haven't heard me speak of Sunn (oh which I think there are three people as they are kinda the inspiration for Breaker of Men) they are this amazing Doom/drone band that just fucking eats white babies for breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and dinner. They are simply amazing. Go to your myspace, I know ya'll have em' save for my folks, and do a music search for Sunn 0))). Listen to IT Took the Night to Believe it's an amazing song but you'll need like 20 minutes to kill it's kinda long. There is no way to ready your self for this so just go do it.
