So it's been a bit since I updated my blog. As I type this I'm sitting in my kitchen eating the most racist Top Raman ever made, Kimchi and dreading going back out side. Since none of the people that read this now what the weather is like right now I'll tell you. I woke up to the sound of what I can assume to be branches breaking off trees and slamming in to the roof of my house, followed by howling wind and pouring rain. And when I say pouring I mean FUCKING CATS AND MUTHER FUCKING DOGS! Not like that shit in Utah where it rains really hard for like an hour then quits and the sun comes out. I mean It's been raining since last night to the point that I think it's a good 3 to 4 inches every hour. Welcome to the Olympic Rain Forest Aaron, I hope you like having wet feet. So that takes care of the Raman, Rain and Kimchi, now on to the METAL.
So it's been a week since I saw Sunn three days in a row and no matter what Chris tells you I thought the Seattle was the best. He maintains that the best one was in Portland but I disagree, Seattle was the best in my mind. I read in the Stranger (a local weekly from Seattle) where the author said that Jasu was heavier then Sunn and that your ears would bleed... Yeah if you've not seen Jasu (pronounced YAY-sue) you should listen to their albums. While they are heavy there is no way in HELL they are that heavy, and that the author thought they were heavier then Sunn shows just how stupid that person is. If I've not talked to you and Sunn then I'll go in to it a little right now. Sunn is in essence two guys, Steven O'Mally and Greg Anderson. These two guys play though bout 5 amps each with two cabs per amp. That's 20 or so amps on stage at a given time. Then if they have some one play with them you add another rig to that. Think the Who before Pete found kiddie porn. So yeah Sunn will make your ears bleed, Jasu with just fucking rock.
And now for head colds. Yep, I've got one. I've had it since I first when to visit Chris, Lacy and Dinna a month ago. It sucks but the Kimchi seems to have help a lot.
